Every Fern caregiver passes a federal background check (FBI and FDLE) and holds a Florida HHA certification. Beyond credentials, Fernanda personally meets each caregiver before they join our team — and personally visits every new family before assigning anyone.
Yes — consistency is one of our most important commitments. We do not rotate caregivers constantly like large agencies do. Many of our families have had the same caregiver for over a year. Familiarity matters deeply for your loved one's wellbeing.
Yes. All of our caregivers speak both English and Spanish fluently. Fern was founded specifically to serve bilingual families in Florida — we understand that language is more than communication, it's comfort.
Absolutely. We don't require long-term contracts. Whether you need post-surgery support for 3 weeks or ongoing daily care, we adapt to your situation. Flexible care is part of how we serve families.
Currently we accept private pay and some Long Term Care Insurance policies. We do not accept Medicare or Medicaid at this time. Our team can help you understand your options during the free consultation call.

In most cases, we can have a caregiver in place within 24 to 48 hours after the initial consultation. For urgent situations — like a family member just discharged from the hospital — we do everything we can to move faster.
